European Championship 2009

ACP [Wed Dec 10th, 21:58]

The Tournament Regulations of the European Championship 2009 (Budva, Montenegro, March 5-19) are now published on the official website: www.eurobudva2009.com

The ACP Board is glad to inform you that after consultations with the ECU and the organizing committee we managed to reach an agreement on the following issues:

1. Hotels: Players won't be obliged to stay in the official hotels. There won't be any fine for those, who decide to stay elsewhere.

2. Dates: The dates were carefully chosen to avoid any clash with major European chess leagues.

3. Deadline: the deadline for confirming the participation was extended comparing to the last year's European Championship.

4. Organizer's fee: Although, there will be an organizer's fee but unlike Plovdiv-2008, it will include additional services (free transfers and free refreshments - check the regulations for details).

5. Registration: Those ACP players, who don't live in a country they play for, can register in the tournament via the ACP, thus avoiding rather time-consuming technical problems.

The ACP Board wishes all ACP members good luck in this prestigious event!
