Regarding the registration of ACP members and usage of the discount the Bulgarian Chess Federation would like to ask to take under consideration that this discounts will be applicable till 10th February, which is the deadline for registrations.

Press Release - ACP and FIDE agreed on close cooperation

On Thursday January 19th, FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov met with the newly elected ACP President GM Emil Sutovsky. The meeting took place after preliminary talks between GM E. Sutovsky, FIDE Deputy President Mr. G. Makropoulos and FIDE Vice President Mr. I. Gelfer (all members of the FIDE Commission for the Olympiads and World Championships), in which several issues concerning the relationships between FIDE and the ACP were discussed.

The Association of Chess Professionals and the Georgian Chess Federation are proud to announce the ACP Women Cup 2012 - the final tournament of the ACP Women Series 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 to be staged at Sheraton Hotel, Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia, from the 17th to 22nd of February 2012.

Dear ACP Members,
We kindly remind you that the deadline for the annual payment of the membership fee is 31st of December 2011. - ACP membership fee for 1 year: 30 euros - ACP membership fee for 2 years: 55 euros - ACP membership fee for 3 years: 80 euros For new members, the ACP fee is 50 euros for the first year. They can benefit from the discount, if they wish to pay in advance: 75 euros for 2 years, or 100 euros for 3 years.

ACP General Assembly 2011

The ACP General Assembly 2011 takes place on the ACP official website http:// www.chess-players.org/index.html from November 28th to December 11th 2011.
All members registered in the Association before the end of the GA 2010 have the right to take part in votes.
GA AGENDA:
I. Annual report by the ACP President Vadim Morokhovsky (rus)
II. Financial Report by the ACP Treasurer Yannick Pelletier (vote)
III.Elections to the ACP Board 2012-2015 (vote)
The ACP is run by a board of 9 members. The Board's function is, among others, to initiate debates concerning official tournament rules, proposals to improve professional players' conditions, to search for sponsors in order to organize tournaments under the aegis of the Association, to establish the agenda of the Ordinary General Assembly, etc. This list is not exhaustive. Members already holding another post in an international chess federation cannot be elected to the Board. There should be at least one male and one female representative in the ACP Board. All ACP members over 18 years old interested in taking part in the elections as candidates, should send their request to the ACP Board Director Pavel Tregubov at gmtregubov@hotmail.com.
The ACP Board took the decision to prolong the registration of candidates until November 30th 2011.
The vote will start on December 2nd. The last day will be December 11th.
Please kindly note, that all dates are according to the CET.
